Meet
the people who "RUN" Bandanna |

Rich
Harris -
My wife Pam and I are transplanted Midwesterners (Chicago and
Detroit suburbs) who won't go back. We have three terrific kids,
Keegan, Bryn and Cullen. My BS degree in Zoology from Colorado
State University has been put to good use identifying bugs that
Keegan finds on the family walks and hikes. I moved to Boise in
1989 after retiring from a career as a professional runner with
the Nike-sponsored club, Athletics West. Running is now more enjoyable
than ever for me, whether it's chasing the kids around the yard
or doing a long trail run with Pam. |

Gregg
Mizuta -
I still vividly remember my brother and I cheering on Dave Wottle
to victory in the 1972 Olympic 800 meter race. The excitement
of that event transcended the TV set and so captivated me, that
being an Olympic runner vaulted to the top of my "when I
grow up I want to be" list. Although never coming close to
being an Olympian, like many runners I continue to experience
personal running victories from such simple pleasures as discovering
a new trail, helping at a race, learning that you really can run
without a stopwatch and enjoying early morning runs with our family's
two pound dogs, Bo and Otis. |

Teresa
Gonzalez - I
have worked here at Bandanna since May of 2000. I grew up in Kamiah,
5 hours north of Boise, and graduated from high school in 1992.
While I participated in a variety of sports I especially enjoyed
competing in track, as Kamiah was a state title contender more
years than not under Coach Bob Squires. I recieved an Associate's
Degree from NLBC in Marysville, CA. I also attended Boise State
University working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business. I
have never enjoyed working anyplace more than I do here at Bandanna
and I look forward to seeing you in the store soon. |

Ryan Canning -
I am an Idaho native, having graduated from Vallivue where I competed
in track and cross country. I received my BA in Finance and Economics
from Linfield College in 1994, even earning NAIA Academic All-American
status. Since then I have been involved in the running industry
as an athlete, coach, vendor and retailer. I joined Bandanna shortly
after I returned from Boulder, where I worked for the Runners
Roost and then spent 4 years managing all retail and event operations
for Ultima...hence my bias towards the product!! My spare time
is spent trying to get in some running in hopes of returning to
racing form, but mostly you can find me working on the Main Street
Mile. |

Char
Hefflinger -
Hello there, my name is Charlyn Hefflinger (Heffalump to my friends
here at Bandanna) When not racing or running in the foothills
with my dog Suzie, I enjoy spending time with my husband Roger,
and our daughter Abbi, biking, exploring, camping and soon kayaking.
We also have two other dogs, Indy and Hindenberg and Coco our
little cat to keep us busy. I have been fortunate to experience
great post collegiate racing in both track and cross country.

Taylor Neal - Hi, my
name is Taylor Neal and I came to Boise in the fall of 2004 to
run cross-country and track at BSU. I am originally from Coeur
d’Alene where I ran cross-country and track all four years
of high school. When I am not spending time with my friends here
at Bandanna I can be found studying commucations/journalism at
Boise State, or trying to run in the foothills. |

Andrija Barker
- As an Eastern Oregon University graduate, I am an Oregonian
at heart, but have learned to appreciate the active community
Boise provides. As a runner, I recently returned to the competitive
scene representing Eastside Track Club in races locally, throughout
the Northwest and beyond. I contribute my running success and
improvement in performance to coach and mentor Pat McCurry, who
also happens to be my husband! Although training and work schedules
do not allow much extra time, I am one half of the musical duo
Cornflower Blue and perform on occasion at local bars or coffee
shops. Come down to Bandanna and see this multitalented gal hard
at work. |
