Beat the Doc Fun Run/Walk & Canine Canter

2nd Annual, new event in 2010. Celebrating the human animal bond and a healthy lifestyle with man’s best friend…a stand against canine obesity. 5k course at Eagle Island State Park.

Run with your dog (or without your dog). Two races: 10am start for runners/walkers only and 10:20am start for runners/walkers and their dog.

COT Mad Hatter Relay

A different style relay race consisting of 2 person teams running two 2 mile legs. All runners must wear a hat and the baton or exchange point will be either 1) a hat that both members of the team wear, or 2) both team members with similar hats at the exchange.

COT Les Bois 10k

The Les Bois 10k trail run starts in Fort Boise Park, travels North on the dirt road past the cemetary to the Trail head at the Shooting Range, up the hill to the top, and then back again.

Malad Gorge St. Patrick’s Day Run & Walk

2011 marks the 21st running of this event 3.5 mile run/walk and a 5.5 mile run around Malad Gorge State Park in Hagerman. Malad Gorge State Park is a 652 acre area with spectacular canyon views just a mile off Interstate 84 at Tuttle Exit. Famous for its post race party featuring Clear Springs trout.

Steunenberg St. Patrick’s Day Mile

3rd annual. Features a flat, fast one mile course that starts and finishes at the College of Idaho campus and loops through the Steunenberg Historic District. Open to runners, joggers, walkers, strollers, and wagon pullers. The mood will be festive with food, beverage, and music so you just bring your best Irish cheer to share.

Race is on Sunday and starts at 2:00 pm. Pzes to top finishers in these catagories: Kids (12 & under); Teenagers (13-19); Know-It-Alls (20-29; Humble Adults (30-39) and the Truly Wise (40 & up). All proceeds benefit the College of Idaho track & field program.

YMCA Basic 5 St. Patrick’s Day Run

2011 marks the 27th running of this race. The traditional first race of the spring. Races start near the band shell at Boise’s Julia Davis Park. 1 mile kids run starts at 9:30 followed by a 5k walk/run and 5 mile run at 10:00.

The Treasure Valley Dietitians will offer a “Brown Bag” full of nutritional foods featuring all five food groups. Your Brown Bag will include a bagel from Blue Sky Bagels, cream cheese, veggies, string cheese, and fruit. While you’re munching, stay and join us for the awards ceremony. Bandanna Running will be providing raffle prizes including free shoes and other cool stuff.
